Level 8 • Conjuration • Druid

Casting Time: Action

Range: 300 feet

Components: V, S, M (an obsidian shard)

A miniature volcano erupts from the ground at a space you can see within range. The volcano occupies a 10-foot cube; a creature inside that area is pushed to the closest unoccupied space or squeezing, and makes saves against this spell with disadvantage. When the volcano appears, each creature in a 30-foot emanation originating from it must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d10 fire damage and 6d10 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

For the duration of the spell, you can use a bonus action to cause a blast of magma to shoot out from the volcano at a creature you can see within 90 feet of it. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d10 fire damage and 3d10 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The volcano also expels a 30-foot-radius cloud of ash that is heavily obscured for creatures of your choice during the duration, if cast with a level 9 spell slot.

A violent volcanic explosion erupts from the ground, sending fire, lava, and shattered rock upward.
