You have lost a dear companion but promises made to them still drive you forward. As if their soul still lingers around you, from time to time you feel their guidance.
Choose one ability score. You gain the following benefits:
Promise. Choose either:
- Increase the chosen ability score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You gain advantage on saving throws of the chosen ability score.
Resolve. You gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Traces. Once per day, when you fail an ability check of the chosen ability score, the GM can decide that you gain a bit of inspiration as if guided by your former companion through a peripheral vision, a memory, or similar connected to them. The GM then secretly rolls one die of their choosing and adds it to the result of the check, potentially turning the failure into a success.
