Duration: 1 hour

You shot a magical bolt of slumber at a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against it. On a hit, the target becomes drowsy and is poisoned for the duration. Additionally, roll 6d12, the total is how many hit points of a creature this spell can affect. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, if the target has fewer hit points than the result, it falls unconscious for the duration. On a success, if the target has fewer hit points than half the result, it becomes poisoned for the duration. The target wakes up, if it takes damage or someone within 5 feet of it takes an action to shake it awake.

Creatures that don’t sleep, such as elves, or that have immunity to the exhaustion condition are immune against this spell.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. You create one additional bolt for each spell slot level above 4, which you can shoot at different creatures or the same target. Make a new ranged spell attack roll for each bolt. If you hit the same target with multiple bolts, add the total of how many hit points are affected together. For example, if you hit a creature with two bolts, the total is 12d12.
