In darkness, this dragon scale sheds moonlight, creating bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.

You gain control over your dreams while you are attuned to this item. When you sleep, you can enter different special states of sleep. Choose one of the following states when taking a long rest.

Deep Sleep. You enter a restful sleep. After you finish your long rest, you regain spent Hit Dice, up to your maximum number, and you become affected by the lesser restoration spell.

Foretelling Visions. Your dreams display cryptic omens of the future which you have a hard time remembering. Until your next long rest, you can try to remember them and cast the augury spell with a 25 percent chance, that you are unable to remember and get no answer to the spell.

Lucid Dream. You dream of your surroundings. When you do so, you see and hear as if you are awake and can’t be surprised.

In darkness, this dragon scale sheds moonlight, creating bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet.

You gain control over your dreams while you are attuned to this item. When you sleep, you can enter different special states of sleep. Choose one of the following states when taking a long rest.

Dream Walker. You enter the dreams of a sleeping creature you know as if you cast the dream spell. You can’t make yourself appear monstrous and terrifying to the target when you use this ability.

Deep Sleep. You enter a restful sleep. After you finish your long rest, you regain spent Hit Dice, up to your maximum number, and you become affected by the lesser restoration spell.

Foretelling Visions. Your dreams display cryptic omens of the future as if you cast the divination spell. Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until 7 days have passed.

Using Evolving Items

Evolving items can be used as standard magic items—the GM simply determines the rarity at which the item is found...

By using evolving items, the GM can weave them into the story, making them feel personal and rewarding as they develop alongside the characters.
