You attempt to mingle in a creature’s casting of a spell that has a range of 10 feet or more. You make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. If the spell is cast at a higher level than your casting of this redirect spell, you have disadvantage on the ability check. On a success, you can redirect the spell to a different target within 10 feet of the original target.
The redirected spell must have a valid target or the redirecting fails. For example, if the spell targets a single creature, the spell can only be redirected to another creature within 10 feet. If the spell targets an area, you move the point the area focuses on by up to 10 feet.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The distance to redirect a spell to increases by 10 feet for each spell slot level above 4.
